About this Trek
After several successful photo treks throughout Italy I have decided to create a whole new one! This time it’s the Dolomites and I am excited to share the unique locations that I have discovered there and along the way. Because this is a trek that cannot be accessed through public transportation I will personally be the driver to take us to these specific locations. I chose Venice to be my starting point because it is considered to be the candy shop for photographers and is such an iconic place to be. From there we will venture to Lake Garda and spend a few days along the beautiful lakeside capturing serene locations and exploring mysterious castles. Onwards to the Dolomites! We will drive through some gorgeous mountain scenery that will definitely take your breath away! Mountains Lakes Forests and rolling hills as far as the lens can see!

Cost does not include: International flights, passport & visas fees, travel insurance, vaccinations and medical coverage/treatment, meals not specified, any alcohol, tips to guides, drivers and bellboys, and personal expenses such as beverages/snacks, internet access fees, laundry fees.
Day 1
Arrive at the airport in Venice, Italy (airport code: VCE). You’ll be transferred from the airport to our hotel in the heart of St. Marks Square. During the evening, we will enjoy a welcome dinner, meet everyone in the group, and discuss our itinerary.
Day 2
We’ll first capture the grandeur of sunrise over the Adriatic Sea in Venice which I call the candy store for any photographer! The day will be spent moving from one great location to another, taking advantage of time, place, people, sun, and shadows.
Day 3
After another photo session in the spectacular early-morning light of Venice, we’ll have a truly Italian Breakfast. Next we head north to Lake Garda and experience the beautiful lakeside scenery. Our accommodations will be waterfront of course! In the afternoon we will visit a cliffside Monastery for a peaceful and surreal experience!
Day 4
In the morning we will visit the nearby Castle and enjoy a short ferry across the lake to explore the village of Limone.
Day 5
Our photo journey continues onwards towards the Mountains. We will reach our lodge high in the mountains located in Val de Funes, There we will visit the iconic view of St. Magdalena.
Day 6
Our tour continues in the Dolomites. We will do a little bit of hiking to capture the amazing views of the mountain scenery and visit some beautiful alpine lakes.
Day 7
So much to photograph! We will have many options to choose from as there are various types of hikes. We can do simple walks or more steep trails which ever we decide on we will definitely capture lots of incredible images!
Day 8
After breakfast we’ll head back to Venice on a spectacular drive through the valley of Trento. We will definitely do some sightseeing and photo stops along the way!
HEALTH CONSIDERATIONS
Our tours are designed for people in relatively good health. Tour participants will carry camera equipment while walking and doing light hiking. If you have concerns about your capabilities or fitness as it relates to this trip, please contact us before reserving a space.
